If you are interested in requesting a  tour of the White House while you are in Washington DC, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to House.Gov
  2. Put in your ZIP CODE to find your Congressman’s website
  3. Search through the website to see if they have a Tour Request Form or not
  4. If they have one, fill it out as completely as possible
  5. You will need to submit this information normally 4-6 weeks in advance of your trip
  6. If you cannot find a Request Form, call the office and request instructions

On your day of arrival, you will need to have the appropriate documentation to present to the gate where the tours start. You will have to go through a screening process and document check before the tour will begin.

Once you have been cleared, you and your family will have plenty of time to enjoy plenty of time touring the home of the President of the United States. Though you will not see the entire House, you will be able to see some of the more famous rooms and parts of the home. Unfortunately, tours of the Oval Office are NOT included in this tour and be aware that security is very tight!
